The John Murray Archive at the National Library of Scotland tells the story of one of the most influential publishing houses of the nineteenth century in the words of the people who created it, ran it and wrote for it. This app takes you on a journey through the amazing publishing dynasty, covering seven generations of John Murrays and their writers across the realms of literature, travel and exploration, science, politics and society. Authors represented include Jane Austen, David Livingstone, Charles Darwin, Lord Byron, Walter Scott and many more.
